MEET ANOTHER OWNER
meet another owner name is Jerry. haha well what do u know. he has a 01 spa yellow. buddy club adjustable coilovers and 160 degree thermostat. and a few others.
i told him about the forum so i hope he joins us for a drive sometime.

i saw a yellow one last nite goin to the races it just went past me on the freeway dont know if it was him though...and i saw a red one at the races also but i didnt get a chance to talk to him cuz the cops showed up before i could find out who drove it

Name's Matt, I'm 21, and I own that yellow 2001 S2k that drove by you Sat night on I-25 batmobileS2K. I wasn't goin to the races though, I was just comin back with my brothers from the New Mexico Games bball tournament at Johnson Gym.
Anywayz, I've met a couple of you guys on Monty before like JanNov, but here's my formal introduction to all the S2K lovers on the site. I've had my ride for almost 3 months. I originally wanted a black or silver, but am actually real happy with the yellow attention grabber. I've taken the S2K to one autocross event in the SCCA up in Santa Fe on street tires. Placed first amongst novices and street tire class, and 22nd out 79 overall (There's some nicely modified racers there). Next event I'm hittin up is at Sandia June 12th. I need to get some racing tires tho since your comin out of the turns mostly in 1st gear and she likes to whip that back-end around. Don't get me wrong, drifting is a blast, but not the best for solid E.T.s
Other than that I don't have any mods on her yet. I was gonna put a wing on her, but moved that idea back a little and have been talkin to Jerry about gettin a valve adjustment done first. Gonna make sure she's purrin' and turnin' a hundred percent in stock form b4 I add anything. Oh and, just for kicks, my first inspiration for owning an S2000 was my favorite racing video game of all-time - Gran Turismo 2. I also have owned a 94 Eagle Talon and 02 Sentra SE-R.
Anywayz, nice meetin' you all, hope to see you guys out there on the street for a meet sometime. Oh and if you have weekends, or sometimes just Sundays, off work and you like autocross racing, you should check out the SCCA events at www.rgrscca.org. or www.scca.org. It's worth it.
