Default Anyone know the cost of having a key copied?

This is for my Pilot as it only came with 1 key. I believe it's the same with the S2000 as it has a chip in it to allow the ignition to start. Anyone know how much this costs to get done at the dealership? Do lock smiths do this or only Honda dealers?

I took my S2000 key to a Honda dealer to get duplicated.
Yes, you need one with the chip inside...
I doubt if a locksmith would have such a thing.
I'm pretty sure it's Honda specific.
I was quoted $125.00-$135.00.

Honda only.

It should be cheaper, since you have a key to copy you won't need to bring the car to the dealer.

I'd recommend going only to a Honda dealer with a Key Transponder Copy Machine. Not all dealer will have this.

Go to Apple in Riverhead, and mention Billman if you want nice results
