the passport X50 can detect multiple singles at one time just like the V1, you change the screen to "advanced" which shows up to 4 I believe.

I like the Bel Pro RX65, it can detect mutiple signals from different bands at the same time. It has the same insides as the Passport. It has saved me from a number of sneaky traps on 80, 280 and Route 3 in Northern NJ, not to mention the locals.
If you buy it from RadarRoy.com site it is sometimes on sale. His site is quite good because he does real-world comparisons, not just pocketbook comparisons (ad $$$ talk real loud) in some car mags.
I have it mounted on the visor with the power cord inside of the window moulding and attached to the open power outlet on the fuse board.

Since it was my first radar ever... I bought the whistler pro 73. $130-150. Seems to work pretty well. Saved me a couple times on the parkway already, but just keep in mind that these things are radar detectors, not cop detectors.
Soon as this one breaks though, I plan on picking up a passport. I've heard they have been keeping up to date on cop technology better than V1. shrug.
