I`ll be running 6pt harnesses - trying to get as safe as possible and HMS said 6pt is an easy choice over 5pt.

Jake - did you went the buddy clubs? Seems like lots of people use them, but I have a hard time buying something like that if it needs to be fixed on the day it arrives.

I haven;t gotten any responses to my emails on the street faction two piece mounts, so I`ll probably end up going with the planted/PCI base. I`ll lose half an inch or so (the say), but they've been around, have a great reputation, and respond quickly to emails.

The buddy clubs have been good, perfect fitment for the car and seat. They are tricky to line up at first but once they are aligned they havent moved on me(...in about 7 years of use, so pretty good i'd say!). One thing you will find is that a low mounted seat and a slider that has a forward facing grab handle is useless on the passenger side as there is that hump in the floor for the cat. Taitec seat rails are absolutely hands down the best, no questions...but they come at a pretty good price
