Doubtful. The others are working fine - if one went due to salt, you'd expect all of them to have the same problem.
My experience with salt damaged cars suggests that things on the driver's side of the car suffer the greatest damage. So it is possible that salt could have played a role, but until I tear it down, I won't know. This is one job I'll probably do myself, just to see what the darn think looks like. I'm getting too old for this kind o' work.

One thing that was suggested by the dealership was to remove all the adjustment bolts and grease them before reassembly.

Also, I think I remember that the bushing needs to be pressed out and in but my aging memory may well be faulty. I think it would be much better to let the dealer do it due to tools and techniques needed. I'm at a point tin my life where I'm paying for this stuff so I don't have to crawl under the car only to find out that I've damaged something and/or don't have the right tools to do the job properly...

Jeff,

Good advice. If the weather remains as it is, currently, I'll let the friendly folks at Bob's Honda handle it. Otherwise, just to be sure that the job is done 100% right, I'm still considering doing the job, myself. I consider broken parts 'tuition' in mechanics' school.
