After a more thorough inspection of my bike, it seems its not worth throwing a bunch of money into it. I am going to be buying a new bike within a 2-3k price point. I have looked at some Giants, specifically the TCR advanced 3 . I also looked at the base Colnago frame/fork. I really liked the look of the Specialized Tarmac elite (i think) with its bare carbon fiber with red accents. I looked at some treks and Bianchi. I have been looking at some felt's as well on the internet. At this point i haven't been able to ride any of them, but from an aesthetic perspective i really like the specialized, in either the black, or all white. Anyone have any opinions on bikes that they have ridden that they like. I can spend up to 1-2k more on the bike, as i will be keeping it for at least 5 years, if it means i can get into a better bike.
I don't mind building the bike up myself if it means i can get into a better bike for the money.

That video looks like it was filmed in snowmass village. I spent a summer up there back in the 99. Stayed at my GF's summer house and rode my bike the entire time. There were so many nice trails!
