not bad actually. how long is long. i gotta fix gears im only able to get on 3 speeds right now lol. i think i have to adjust my derailleur or get new ones. i might be good to ride this weekend plans to climb falls through.
In the future, buy from Nashbar, Competitive Cyclist, Amazon or one of the many other online sites and buy a couple extra inner tubes and some tires. They're usually half as much as at a LBS, which is tough because it's always nice to support the local place, but when it's such a big difference, I can't rationalize it.
Just checked tire prices on Performance Bike and Nashbar. Performance bike is $5 cheaper & Nashbar was $1 more on the tires I just bought. All in all, just about the same price as my LBS. I'm still in shock on how expensive tires are. I went up to the counter thinkning that there was a pair of tires inside the box. I almost
when the store clerk told me the price was per tire.
The new tires made a significant difference in handling. The feels a lot sharper & more responsive.

Not sure how you conducted your shopping for tires but don't bother looking at the expensive tires or the tires that are lightweight. What matters are tires that are cheap and that will resist punctures best. None of us will ever feel a difference in tires other than maybe grip.
Also, in lieu of buying a CO2 cartridge, think about a frame mounted hand pump. Reason being is that you only get I think 1 or maybe 2 shots with the CO2 and if you mess up both, you'll be stranded... lol.
Have you joined Strava yet?... lol.
Andre
doh! I really didn't do any research. I bought the ones with the coolest packaging. I thought, just like a car, that tires would make the biggest difference. Now I know for next time.
