i just started biking. Borrowed a friend's gary fisher hybrid bike. Been riding only about 3-6 miles/day. I feel out so out of shape. The hills near my house r nuts tho lol.

Whats a good training routine? i lift 3 days a week (full body lifts- think core exercises mainly) and do 2-3 miles after lifting. & 3 days of just cardio (mainly now biking & than sprints/hills/suicides). Im on a mission

Rode 108 miles from Cranford to Belmar Beach took route 35 to 36 and back a couple weeks ago. If anybody is around Union County and wants to ride out let me know.

Any winter riding going on for anyone?

I haven't been doing much riding outside due to new home and a cold that I can't seem to shake off. Up to about 1.5 ago, I was running maybe twice a week and finally did the indoor trainer on monday but then got sick again.

Andre, are you still using your Kinetic trainer? I'm thinking of getting one so I can do some kind of riding during the winter.

Yeah... Kinetic Road Machine. The thing is great... highly recommended. Very smooth and they're weren't joking, it mimics road conditions very well as far as referencing power output to speed.

Kinetic also just came out with the 'Rock N Roll' which allows you to rock the bike back and forth to assist with pedaling while standing, but costs about $200 more than the Road Machine.
