My comcast @home connection is still up and is fast as ever. I sure hope Comcast can negotiate with @home to keep it that way. I get totally incredible speeds, both ways. I was ftp'ing something big to my brother who also has @home and was getting 600kps (sustained) throughput...how nice, and I'd never get that speed with DSL.

Dial-up totally sucks, and is no fun at all - I hope to never experience it again...

AT&T cable modem users here in Dallas (at least, some of them) are back up and running. I don't know the particulars of what AT&T did, though.

I'm on Sprint Broad Band Direct the wireless alternative. They have stopped taking new customers, but are still running. Have heard rumor that by this time next year they will cease function...This is making me Neeerrrrvous..lol..Can't go back to DIALUP...Can't get DSL...
