They claim 300hp and under $30,000. I assume a convertible would be an additional $2500-$3000.? Right in the S2000 ballpark, and supposedly much better performance than the Boxster S (that performance tidbit was from an earlier interview with the Nissan guys)

Just like our cars, i guess the looks are in the eye of the beholder. I am sure my local nissan jerks will bump the price beyond retail...they currently have a 17,000 mile red S2000 for........$32,950...ahahahhaah.. good damned luck!

i've never really had too much luck with nissan dealerships, but my family's on our 6th maxima. i think nissan is on the right track.

 

I think this car definitely has the potential to redefine performance value.

 

I've been interested in the new Z for quite a while. Maybe I'll get one later on as my daily driver. In the meantime I had to settle for the S2K!

 

I wouldn't refer to the S2k "settling".
