3G Iphone when?
sucks for you guys, I get awesome 3g service in atlanta, and I work in 4 different areas around Atlanta. Hell I teather to my laptop all the time and anytime I test speeds I'm usually around 1Mb download and .5 Mb upload.
But to answer your question, rumors have been flying between late June, July all the way to mid 3rd quarter, I guess we will eventually find out.
But by then it wont matter because the N95 will be supported by Att and, be a much better phone.

That sounds so much better than the pair of iphones I could get for the same price.

Ok I will admit, if I red that article I would be skeptical as well.
Iphone is a great device, its easy to use, its fun, GREAT!
However, it lacks in too many ways, yes the iphone II/ 3G ver. will address many of these issues but still, you already have phones that have been able to do everything that this phone promises back in December of 07 (8925) and for less then what the current iphone goes for.
The N95 for ATT WILL BE different then that article. That N95 is the current European ver. that is not the same version that will be branded for ATT in the U.S.
The ATT ver. will have an internal 8GB built in (no external memory card required) will be optimized for our network (help with upload and download speeds) and price is rumored to be better than the current 8925 (lets just say I get to talk to the Nokia reps every month or so) which in that case makes it less that $300 after any rebates and 2 yr contract.
That and the fact that the S60 symbian software is soo much better in performance, flexibility, and aftermarket support (can we say blackberry email, removable battery, much better camera, java and flash built in, as well as the EXACT SAME browser that the wonderful iphone has), as well as the fact that the new version of the iphone will be more then $400, I would say if you can get over the fact its not a touch screen, then its a hands down winner.
