Back in the days, when I worked in Irvine, I felt discriminated against all the time. So, what happened after you filed the complaint???

Well, let me see if I can access the situation. This ain't the gospel just an opinion. Where were you specifically? Were you in a private park or public park? Were there alot of other people around? Or is this on a main street that's used for crusiers. What's the history on the area as far as crime if any? Is the area regularly patrolled? What caused the officer to cuff you? Did you make an aggressive movement for your ID in the car? Were you aggressive in your feedback to the officers? Need to know so I can access the situation better. Remember your reactions creat reaction. Was it a well lit area? How did they approach you from the rear of the front? How long had you been there?

Ok, since you made it a point to bring this into the subject, your physical race, White, Hispanic Asian, Black? I can't see you so it's important to know.

The reason I ask you for the information is to clarify the picture. I know this is alot of questions but there all important and I may ask you again.

I'll first tell you that an officers responsibility is to secure the area in an orderly fashion. Being the officers were unaware of your need to be in the area and you had your door open which means several things. The most obvious being, your were hot and needed air, you were waiting for someone, or you were hanging out. If your not suppose to be in the area after 10:00pm then technically, you were breaking, city ordanances and it was there duty to ask you to move on. The area and enviroment has a lot to do with their initial reaction. There are also several unknown factors that I can only offer as an explaination. Give me a little mre detail, please!

JRM, you're clearly taking the defense on behalf of the officer, so unless you know this officer personally, I have a question for you: do you feel that all officers do their job as they are supposed to, and deal with all people in an appropriate manner? I'm interested to know what you think.
