I love Wal-Mart. They have cigarettes at great prices, so I can patronize multiple evils at once. w00t!

Sure, minimum wage could be $25 an hour and nobody would be poor... but if you want no disparity between the successful and the lower-class, head to a European socialist country.
Uh, you know there is a middle ground between increasing minimum wage 4 fold and leaving it untouched for 12 years or so.... You could index it to inflation.

Any money you think you are saving at Walmart, you are making up for in government subsidies for the employees, and corporate welfare. Capitalism has nothing to do with it.

If you're working at Walmart, it is YOUR fault. If you are qualified and motivated to find a better job, nobody is stopping you. If you aren't qualified to do so, why should Walmart have to pay more than the competitive price for your services?

The idea that Walmart pays competitive wages is a joke!!! They run the competition out of town so you are left without alternatives for shopping or working. Then when the town's economy is thoroughly trashed, they leave!
