So what?

You're not entitled to medical benefits for any reason!

Its wasn't your employers fault when you got sick.

Increase your value to society so you can afford to pay for medical insurance or your medical bills.

This sense of entitlement is assine.

Heaven forbid that you actually earn what you have.

The hospital is an entitlement? Wow, that's really putting the compassion in conservatism!

No, a hospital is a place you go when your sick. Its a building that houses equipment and people that you have to pay for in an effort to help you get better, it doesn't have a sense of compassion.

The way your talking doctors should be forced labor, what insensitive bastards asking to get paid to treat you?

Still what does that have to do with an individual not contributing enough to society to get compensated in such a way to get something as expensive as medical isurance.

If your defense of Wal Mart is that their employees art too lame to deserve Health Care, I think it's pretty clear what you are looking out for - and it's not people.

Yes it is. People need to wake up. People in these situations should realize they need to improve themselves. Walmart jobs cashiers, greeters, stockers are for people going though a transition phase. College, high school, semi-retired, disabled all should be happy they can get a job that pays them enough to put some cash in their pockets. You seem to be encouraging them to fail by giving them the world for doing unskilled labor rather then saying they need to improve theirselves and increase their contribution to society. Lets encourage people to aspire to work for walmart rather then make a positive significant contribution to socity by becoming doctors, teachers, whatever other than stocking a shelf and saying hi to me when I come into a store.

i work for K mart as a consumables manager, i cant wait to graduate college and the the hell outta dodge...i dont know what is worse, kmart or walmart...all i know is neither pay anything and i feel like the only thing i have actually gained worthwile from working there is that i can deal with some of the most narrowminded outspoken trash in the world and still keep my composure..

its funny, in our plaza there were about 6-8 businesses other than ours, and they all moved to walmarts plaza...walmart bought out all of their leases so they would move to their plaza...now we have like a ghost town strip mall..

Then they should have the skills to get a transitional job that offers health benifits, maybe manufacturing, electronics, administrative positions for larger companies, etc... Without those skills its not a reasonable expectation. Would you expect the corner pizza shop to offer ealth care benifits? Even so most companies DO NOT pay for full health benefits. Most require that you pay the majority of the cost if not all of it. Anyone can purchase health care benefits, often times its cheaper to find them on your own then to go with the companies plan.

http://www.ibx.com/health_plans/individual...asic/index.html

coverage as low as $32 a month, less than you probably pay for your health insurance since that plan is full you can get it for $300 a month

Indemity plans are cheaper for most < $300 a month. or <$69 a week tax free! that equals < $50 a week or ~6 hours of work a week. Isn't it worth it or no? Its up to them to decide their priorities!

They do make enough to afford those premiums, now they might not be able to afford everything else they have as well, but it isn't up to walmart to make sure they can afford their rent, a home, a yugo or a s2000. Its up to them to make enough to have what they want and need.

i live in a small town and of course there is a walmart here i hate it. but i do go there only to buy motor oil and in reality i could go to the auto parts shop in town but it's always closed when i'm off of work so i hate going there but i do if it's a last resort.

a couple local convenience stores shut down b/c of that fockin place. i would definitely not mind putting a couple mortars through the roof of that place
