Dude, did you just quote yourself?

____________

I respect the fact that you're comfortable enough with the situation to be open about it. I have an overactive mind too, and have learned to live with it. I guess it's a gift if you can learn to control it, or a pain in the ass if you don't. I've also learned after talking to people that everyone has psychological disorders to a certain extent. You just have to stop and realize whether your problem is sever and if it's escalating. Assess the situation and make an effort to understand yourself and make the necessary changes to cope with it. If it is out of your control then seek professional help.

The fact that you have realized your problem and are able to talk about it openly is a great start. I'm sure you're gonna be fine, just try to take it easy and not to exacerbate everything.

Sorry I wanted to quote myself because some people missed where I said that I had already quit. Last Saturday was the most constructive meeting I had with my counselor. That was when he suggested I find myself a psychiatrist near my school that I can see on my free time during the week, as well as someone Mr. Ferguson can correspond with for another opinion on my behavior. Saturday night I drove into Philly and stopped by St. Joes to see my brother. We chilled one last time, and I am done. Have not taken a puff since, even though several items were being passed around during Sunday's Eagles game. I intend on keeping it this way. The pot was never a crutch, I actually never started smoking until I visited Spain last year, and I always saw it as a recreational venture and nothing more.

Anyone else?
Yep. Especially if the girl walking by is hot. Anxiety in me causes very short attention span, I get bored inside of 30 seconds. Also lots of insomnia. If my job requires me to be at a boring meeting or event I go crazy and have to get up to walk around every twenty minutes. They have medication, but why be labeled as deficient in some medical record?

Far worse when I was younger. I think it comes from insecurity. When I was in my twenties I always thought I was just some goofy looking douche and made me uncomfortable with strangers. Then when I got older, I became fine with the fact that I was a goofy looking douche so there goes the discomfort.

I always dated lots of hot women though which I could never figure out. Either a stellar personality, I was a charity case, or they had bad eyesight. Oh well, works for me.

Anyone else with anxiety get totally worked up (I don't mean road rage) because someone blocks the left lane for miles without passing or falling back?

I start to feel just boxed in and want to pull my hair out. When I get my opening, I will pass and gun it up to 90 just to put some space between me and those people who like to "huddle" in traffic.

Pot is not as harmless as you may think.

Study: Marijuana use may increase psychosis risk

Totally agree. I was once an abnormal psyche major, and most of the study showed that mental illness onset risk is highest when you are young. Hit mid thirties and most people are totally out of the woods especially for schizoprhenia. This is leaving out old age related dementia of course.

I am only aware of two people that went totally crazy between the ages of 45 and 60 and both were regular pot smokers. One guy is convinced that space aliens are stealing his landscaping rock. No lie.

LOL @ Tom Cruise.

Nursery school, I know something was going on with some other girl liking me, she kept wanting to use my rug to sleep on (nap time!). Don't remember much though...

In kindergarten, we were having a fire drill, so the class had to leave the room single file (we had a door leading straight outside) and I was talking to the kid behind me. The girl in front of me obviously did not like that, so she turned around and grabbed my jewels. Might explain why I go mute in the presence of attractive women.

Around 1-2nd grade, same school, this girl Michelle would chase me around the playground during recess trying to kiss me. She finally caught me one day. I hated it. All I wanted to do was sit in the "fort" and color with my friend Lucasz. My mom even took me over her house to hang out one day. All i remember is that she had a box turtle. I don't think I said a word the entire time I was in her house.

4th grade, different school, during English I was paired with the hottest girl in my grade, Nicole, and another girl Chyncia. I absolutely adored Nicole, and one day both of them told me they liked me and that I was cute. My response:

"No"

Do yourself and your family a favor:

1. Lay off the Pot.
2. Go see a psychiatrist(M.D.)

You gotta quit the pot......I promise you a significant improvement will follow. Find a hobby to spend time on. This will give you less time to dwell on these negatives that worry you.

On a side note....I don't beleive you are only into pot. Quit all drugs, including booze. Drinking socially at bar and the like is cool.

I suffer from OCD. You seem to have some of the same problems as I. The best way to solve these personality problems is to keep busy. Get a job, find a girl, take some classes, mod up your s2k,.........whatever you gotta do to fill up time with something substanitive. It will help, I promise.
