veilside is only 190 guys come on. I'm 180, and I put up 305 easy. (I personally focus on dumbells because you have to stabilize them) I fit in my zeta 3s just fine, and am pretty sure that we don't have too much to worry about as we get older because we have a head start.

Now for the pro-hormone, steriod users, that is a different story. Compare it to people who tan in the real sun and the people who fake bake. Fake bake tans will fade really fast, where as real tans stay for a while. Same with natural gains vs steriod/pro-hormones. Naturally gained muscle will stay longer. I always laugh at the people who take that stuff and blow up like a balloon in a year. Have fun when you stop using it and it all turns to fat! hahaa.

Ok I'm done!

That's why I personally think that's it's better to do workouts that focus on long, lean, tone muscle, rather than bulk & strength training. It's very difficult to maintain those bulky muscles as you get older, but if you're tone & lean, that's something you can carry forward.

Plus, in my experience, most girls prefer the appearance of slender guys more than bulky guys.

Those are just my thoughts, and have nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
actually as hard as it is to keep bulk (eating LOTS of GOOD food) its just as hard to stay lean. plus its even harder once the metabolism slows down to keep that lean look.

and im with you, most woman dont like that bulk.

I'm not trying to hate. If you can lift all the weights in the gym, more power to you. I'm just trying to stress the point that your body will degenerate at some point later in life. Just using Arnold, the king of body builder to prove a point. But again who am I to judge what you're doing to your body. Sorry, didn't mean to offend you in any way. BTW, I've seen people working out wearing scrubs ???
its cool, sorry if i came off as an ass.

My diet is pretty damn free, i always eat a full breakfast lunch and dinner and i eat as much as i can every meal. i eat whatever with the exception of things that have excessive fat, oil, grease, sodium or sugar. plus around 50 grams of protein at 9 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

As for the whole "most girls prefer the appearance of slender guys more than bulky guys" from what ive seen, girls like a guy who is cut up, and being cut is always attainable after bulking. being that i am 6'2 it would take some serious mass for me to look really big or bulky.
rule of thumb is a gram of protein per pound of body weight.. i try to take in between 180-200 grams a day.

egg whites, tuna, chicken, beef, turkey, etc.

and i like dumbell press too, but the gym only goes up to 100lb dumbells. a few have asked for more, but nothing

yea i figured with the 150 grams that i take in shake form plus my meals i should be between 200-250 grams a day.

do you guys do dead lifts often? i cant tell if mine are where they should be for my size... i usually pull up 315 for 10 reps then ill do 405 for 3-4 reps, but i dont go any higher than that.

i think ill start some pretty intense weighted pull up/pull down routines in conjunction with shoulders to add some width.

I vote for traps and lats and more cardio. It'll help you burn extra calories and I've found it helps increase definition. That being said I'm a skeleton (5'11" like 140 lbs) and I'm trying to bulk up. I've been taking supplements (muscle milk 3x a day) and working out daily but can't seem to gain mass or weight. I'm thinking about changing my supplements to a gainer and a regular protein instead of muscle milk. Any suggestions on which specific products? I'm thinking of trying these 2 together. I dont really want to mess w/ NOXplode or anything like that until I know how this stuff is going to work with me.

Sorry to thread jack, I've been meaning to ask this question for a while and this just seemed like an appropriate place to piggy back.

Thank you for serving, I just got back from LSA Anaconda/Balad AB not too long ago.
