any bodybuilders on here? physique critique....
reedkr2,
i started lifting about three years ago and ive honestly just been eating as much as possible and lifting as much as i can and putting all my effort into it. it took me a while to learn that proper form really makes a difference along with many other small techniques here and there, but everything is different for everyone.
detonator2x,
the only thing i can say is this; protein and caffeine are all i have found to be really useful. instead of spending $70 on n.o. explode, try drinking a cup of coffee before you lift. it works just fine for me and i dont have an upset stomach or headaches. dont be the guy that goes into gnc and blows $250 on supplements. that Sh** is not worth it. you will make significant gains just by eating properly and training hard and you will have more money to do both of those things (gym membership, equipment, protein and so on). i can say that protein three times a day will help but i went for about a year trying a all natural approach and it wasnt really that bad. sorry if im rambling its just my opinion.

I vote for traps and lats and more cardio. It'll help you burn extra calories and I've found it helps increase definition. That being said I'm a skeleton (5'11" like 140 lbs) and I'm trying to bulk up. I've been taking supplements (muscle milk 3x a day) and working out daily but can't seem to gain mass or weight. I'm thinking about changing my supplements to a gainer and a regular protein instead of muscle milk. Any suggestions on which specific products? I'm thinking of trying these 2 together. I dont really want to mess w/ NOXplode or anything like that until I know how this stuff is going to work with me.

Sorry to thread jack, I've been meaning to ask this question for a while and this just seemed like an appropriate place to piggy back.
Thank you for serving, I just got back from LSA Anaconda/Balad AB not too long ago.

this is what i use. 3 scoops=60 grams. I take 2 scoops 3 times a day.
plus 2 RTD muscle milks a day. I also have some syntha 6 that I use once and awhile.
So theres 160grams a day in just that, plus actually food I eat.
Im not lying, on a scale of 1-10. the taste on that GNC wheybolic 60 is an 11. Iv honestly tried close to 20 different types of protein. not to mention it has the least amount of ingredients and only 2g fat and 5g sugar. this is by far the best tasting. its very micronized so it mixes very easily. not like that thick paste shit powder.
Its 40 bucks with a GNC card.
stay away from weight gainers. Its just a HUGE amount of carbs and calories. When your body takes in more sugar/carbs/calories then it needs to burn, its stored as fat.
No Xplode is pretty good. Gives you alot of energy and really helps you concentrate during your work out. Its a very large dose of vitiman B's. I dont crash as bad after as I do with an energy drink.

a huge thing that most people (specially me) dont do is get enough sleep. a good 7-8 hours is really needed after a good workout. I usually get around 4-5.
My vote is for optimum nutrition's 100% whey. they make around 15 different flavors and every one that i have had was great. I did try some weight gainer when i started and i wasnt such big fan. it had like 1500 calories a serving which i suppose can be good in some ways but if you dont stay active it will be stored as fat like veilside said.

there isnt enough protein in muscle milk. i think its like 15 grams a serving. plus look at the fat and sugar and whatnot as well. so even at 3x a day, its not even 50 grams.. The RTD's are pretty good. Their 20 grams each, and the costco here sells a 20 pack for 30 bucks.

I just bought no xplode at gnc for 30 something bucks. it was onsale for 42-43 bucks, then the gold card got me another 20% off.

It tastes like a frosty!!! Damn, I think Im going to go make one now
Just make sure when you hit 225 your not lifting the same weight you did at 210.
Alot of people think the more you weigh the more you can lift and handle, but in reality that is highly false.
