Default any "nike" sneakers fan? (opinion please)

yesterday, old school "jordan 9" by nike came out again-
and my friends and i stood in the line even before the mall opened to get them, since it's in such low quantity. (there were 20 people or so in the line.)

i used love these "jordan 9"s when i was in middle school, so the resale of these retro version was such a big news to me- and i wanted them again for the sake of my "childhood" memory and such...

well, after i got it and brought it home, i found out that it slightly diff. than the original...
and i absolutely hate it!

so, what do you think...

1)keep it... it's still jordan 9...
2)return it...
3)keep it, but not wear it for a while... and sell it on e- bay or something.

I used to be a big Nike collector a few years ago, and since they started re-issuing models I've stopped.
Part of the (elitist and snobbish) pleasure was to have exclusive shoes that no one else would have, and it vanished with nike's commercial politics...
I have the ones you show, seung, but the real ones, and I must admit they are not my favorites, so I don't really care if they re-launch them. However I'd be pissed off if they were to do the same with the summer '96 Jordans, the ones with the mesh grille, low cut. I have 2 pairs of those, including the almighty white & grey leather ones, which were VERY rare.
Now I only wear Helmut lang black leather shoes.

Shoes are a bit like cars, you can't stop collecting them, they're often considered as penis extensions, and they say a lot about who you are (well I know this sounds like low-level psychology but it's a bit true)...

When I saw this thread I though it was asking about running shoes.

Do people really COLLECT shoes?
