My friend did the whole 90 days and he definitely lost some fat (he was skinny to begin with). I have the videos but am not doing them everyday like the program says to do so. I just have them as a substitute workout for the house. I do enjoy them and I sweat a lot. One of the biggest factors with P90X is the diet, which I am not following. But I can see how just doing the videos on a regular basis can make a differnce and the workouts are kind of fun. Since your wife already has them I say go ahead and try it out. Let us know the results.

If you get the p90x plan, you'll see that you a have to follow their diet plan. The menus in their guide all amount to about 1500 calories per day.

Arguably the hardest thing I have tried. I was not in shape at all when I started and I couldnt complete the cycle. Since then I have focused on loosing as much weight as possible by eating correctly, lifting weights 3x a week and then doing cardio 3x a week with one day off a week.

If your already semi in shape and can do a few pull ups then I would really recommend this work out. If you don't have a pull up bar, then buy one, because your going to need it.

I will be attempting the P90x program again at the end of Sept.

I'm a week into it and it's the hardest thing I've tried. I've been hitting the gym for the past 10 years and I'm in decent shape but was looking to get lean and ripped.

This is definitely the answer, I didn't get it until my co-worker got it and swears by it.

The first week has been tough, but the workouts are really good and work muscles i have never worked before with Kempo and Yoga X. I'm not following the diet 100% but have improved my diet and I've lost about 2 lbs.

I have increased strength, or atleast pull ups and push ups seem easier this week than last week.

I'm 6', was 180 a few weeks ago and now i'm down to 175. I want to get down to 165 and get ripped than go back to the gym for 60 days and bulk up after I finish the program.

I say try it, I've never done a at home thing either but this is worth it especially since you already have it.

Also go to target and buy the iron gym pull up bar for $30, it's awesome and you can do pull ups, dips, push ups and sit ups with it. Their's no substitute for a real pull up, I struggled with the first few since it had been soo long and the machines at the gym made it so much easier.

I'm having a much harder and better work out using my own body weight.

Before I thought it was lift heavier to get results but now I'm seeing it's lift smarter, faster and muscle confusion which p90x is all about!

I can't wait to see the results in the next 20, 60 and 80 days!

The thing kicked my a** in 3 days. After reading some more, you have to be in certain shape before you do the video. Otherwise, it's not good for you. So I'm gonna spend some time getting into semi-able shape before I start back up again.

wow. I've always been a skeptic about this stuff.

Besides a pull-up bar, what other equipment does the program require?

Ack, 1500 calorie diet? Before I became fat and lazy I was chowing down on 3000+, how the hell do you do any sort of physical activity and eat 1500?

I lack the motivation as well. Powerlifted in college but once the real world hits you in the face it's hard to get into a routine after work.

You will adjust. 1500 calories with the correct micronutrient ratio will give you plenty of energy.
