Anybody complete the P90x program?
i have it and did a few of the dvds but i haven't been sticking to the calendar. it does kick your butt and is definitely no easy task even if you are in shape.
i haven't found the motivation to stick to this program strictly... i enjoy lifting weights a lot more but i do need to lean up. 5'10" 172lbs. i'm sure this work out works... i mean, how do you spend 1hr x6 days/week doing an intense workout and not be in shape?
someone should try a squat, pull-up, push-up, crunch, and dip workout for 90 days. lemme know how that goes ;]

Personally I've only done the Ab Ripper part of P90x and that is definitely a good workout so if the other parts of P90x are on par with that then I would say go for it. I'm dedicated to the whole fitness/nutrition lifestyle so I'm skeptical of most home workout videos, but P90x seems like a solid program from what I have seen.
Anyone want to rip the other parts of P90x and send them to me?

I am about 100 days from the utter craphole that is 40 years of age. Anyway, since I am in total denial I am trying to be in supreme shape on my 40th. Call it vanity or midlife crisis, whatever. Just want to see if I can be in the same shape I was in at 25 when I am 40.
i have it sitting here, ive done a couple work outs from it. and its definitely a LOT harder then they make it look.
but i feel a lot more satisfied afterwards.
im going to try and start it up again from the beginning come Monday.
but i can say it seems way worth it. or atleast the try. and like a poster said earlier, diet plan and worksheets help you keep on track.
i torrented it (i know i shouldnt have) but im going to spend money on weights, food (diet food is expensive) and a pull up bar.
the guy in the video is supposedly 50 now, but 45 when those were made.
or so ive heard. check out p90x forums. i know there are a couple. and look at REAL results. its shocking

The work outs are very intense. The plyometrics is hard as hell. I'd say the hardest part is just following the diet plan. I went from 219 to 203 in the first 3 weeks but stopped because of a vacation that just destroyed the routine. I do agree you have to be in pretty decent shape to even start it.

I did plyometrics yday, it kills!
3 other co-workers want to get it on it now because they already see the instant results I had and I'm not even following the diet plan yet, maybe after phase 1, I will do the diet plan.
I just printed people off the worksheets that lists the workouts you need to do and record the reps that's available online.
But honestly this program is legit, as long as you are in decent enough shape to do it. I think it's worth spending the money on and people should support it. I was very skeptical like I am with everything but this thing is GOOD! Don't expect to buy it and think it will work, you will have to commit to it and be ready to be exhausted during the workout but feel awesome afterwards.
My biceps and triceps are harder and ripped than they have ever been and it only has been a couple of weeks. And i'm only taking protein shakes.
10 years of gym and creatine didn't even get me instant results like this.
I'm just eating pretty good, taking protein shakes and doing p90x, that's it.
