Lots of respect for being able to handle such a tough situation. I had to read all the posts and see all the updates and make sure everything was ok. I will definitely pray for her and I hope it is nothing but good news!

Alright, I have a pretty positive update. This morning she saw the doctor who went over some things with her. I guess the tumor isnt severe to where they have to have surgery to remove it just yet which is great. Also, her brain is only bleeding a little bit so they are just going to keep an eye on that. She started some new medicine today, and if it works as it is supposed to she might not need surgery at all.

Her spirits were really lifted today, I could tell in her voice, which is great. I told her today, "See, I was right, you are going to beat this!"

I told her that I can't wait until this is behind us, and she is done with all the medicine, and we continue to have healthy conversation. She isn't really down anymore it seems like, which is great. I tell her that I have a lot of surpises planned for when she gets out, and to get better fast so she can find out what they are.

Anyway, today is a positive day! Some good news for once.

Just wanted to send my prayers to you and your friend. Be strong, and know you're doing a great thing no matter how things turn out. You sound like a good person, and the world needs more people like you to care about others in the world.

 

thats good to hear she is doing better! i know how hard it is to deal with having a loved one go through and try to beat cancer. i watched my mom do it. i will keep her in my prayers and hopefully she will beat it like my mom did! hope to hear more good news!

 

Alright so shes snoring on the phone right now hahaha. I pretty much talk with her 24/7 and my phone bill is going to be outrageous, but I dont care.

The medicine they are giving her makes her really sleepy, if I don't talk for like 30 seconds she falls asleep pretty easily.

Today she found out that the tumor moved very very slightly inward, which isnt great news but it isnt prompting surgery yet. The medication she is on will hopefully do the work that the surgery would.

Her attitude has done a turnaround which I really like. Instead of before where she was accepting death and shutting everyone out, she talks about our future together and how she knows she will get better because we have worked so hard to get to where we are now. She wants to drop a lot of money on my birthday present too lol, shes saying "Money isnt an issue, I'm making the most I've ever made in my life right now." Shes really sweet and generous and she got mad at me when I declined her offer to spend a lot.

She told me today that she wants me to pick her up when they release her. She asked the doctor when she might be released. He said that he isnt promising anything, but possibly by mid next week. (Just in time for her to be at my birthday party, which I don't know if I will do without her there.)

So I am just hoping for the best, but like I said, I have this strong feeling that she will beat it!
