Anyone a doctor? I need peace of mind...
Let us know if there were any complications.
My Aunt has had 3 surgeries to remove tumors in her brain. Every one of the surgeries have been completely different, as they were all in different parts of the brain. After my aunt's second surgery, she lost all controll/feeling in her left foot. She had to wear a brace to keep her feet in place so that she could walk. After her third surgery(which was a few months ago) she now has feeling back in that same foot(don't really understand how) and is recovering greatly. She was also given a 50/50 chance of survival as the tumor(if you rolled it into a ball) was the size of a baseball.
I'm glad she came through alright, and I apologize if this is scaring you, I'm really not trying to. haha.

Alright here is another update.
She met with the doctor today and they said that the surgery went well, and as far as I know there are no complications. Her white blood cell count has gone down by half and the doctor said if it continues to go down, she can be released this week!
She has a super badass birthday planned for me, but I dont know what it is yet haha. My party is friday so I will let you guys in on some pictures and what all she did for me for my birthday.
Hers is the next week, so you guys can help me make hers better than she did mine!
Thanks again for the support guys! I know its an online forum, but being able to read encouraging words is always great!

And lots of pictures! This will be something you remember forever. It will be nice to have something to look back on later in life.

Sorry I haven't posted, I've just been really focused on her. My cell phone bill was 1,000 lol... but she is worth it.
The second surgery on her brain went well, I sent her some flowers for when she woke up. Her blood count is bad again... her white blood cell count is really high and now her red blood cell count is low. The doctors put her on a new medicine but I dont know how thats working. This morning she told me she was coughing up blood so....
Anyway, things just seem to be getting more and more complicated. She is having another surgery tomorrow. They are going to remove the cyst that has been developing on her heart and another surgery on her brain at the same time. She was telling me that its hard to keep her hopes up when her doctor suggests that she writes her will because she might not survive through all of this. I made the best comparison I could think of at the time and told her that its like buckling up when you get in your car - it doesnt mean you will wreck. She went on to say "I'm 22 about to turn 23, and I'm writing my own will, what the ****?"
Its all just really sad, I really hope she beats this, but I just feel so bad that she has to go through all of this when she has done nothing wrong at all. She is supposed to get out on Friday and Saturday for her birthday, but she is having the surgery on thursday... so I'm not sure how she will be, and how invasive the heart surgery is.
She tried to leave the facility today because she just didnt want to have surgery, but the doors were locked from the outside, she got caught and now they have a nurse assigned to her to watch her all the time. Its like a prison there she said. She hates it. And its just so hard for her when she hasnt seen too many improvements yet. I keep telling her that the doctors wouldnt be wasting your time if they didn't believe they could help you. I just try to keep her hopes up, which I succeed, but I hope she gets out on Friday so I can go pick her up and we can celebrate her birthday.
After that, she has to go back to the facility and this will all continue.. Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been keeping most of this to myself now.

Stay strong and even though its hard for the both of you, just know that she needs you now more than ever despite what different thoughts or mood swings have changed her. At tough times like this, its best to take it out through exercise or keeping your thoughts going by talking to others and stay as active as you can. Much props to you and my prayers to your friends recovery
