Default Anyone have a Japanese PS2?

I recently purchased a JDM PS2 off of Ebay, it's the Limited Editon Racing Pack with Prologue. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a memory card, and my US version memory card won't work for some reason.

Now, when I search for memory cards on the Net I get this...

"Compatible with all Playstation2 Consoles worldwide (USA, JAP, PAL)"

So, is the JDM PS2 memory card different, or not?

Dumb question but are you sure it is a ps2 card and not ps1? They are the same size and shape but not compatible. If it is black it should be a ps2 card if it is made by sony, grey for ps1. Third party stuff I dunno.

Sorry, it's all good, I'm an idiot, I was saving in the wrong place the whole time. I suppose it'd help if I could read Japanese...lol.

BTW, Prologue rocks!

I'm guessing that you need to format the card in order for it to work on your japanese ps2, but I could be wrong.

I find it akward since I have no problems using my memory card for Prologue.

Did you get a power converter too?
I run my jdm ps2 with the japanese power converter. All their electronics i think use 100w, while our power is 120w.

I have no problems plugging mine into a surge protector... vice versa, I had no problems running US equipment in Japan. Though the battery didn't charge up as fast.
