Anyone read the "letters to the editor" in the newspaper?
Nothing against older people. I just think it is "facetious" when people use a thesaurus to look up words to make themselves seem sophisticated........ They probably re-read their letter and laugh their assess off thinking about how witty it is.
And unfortunately, they usually have a older sounding name... Like Gertrude or Chester.
I am easily amused. Sorry.

In fact, they have a much better understanding of the English language, in general, than today's youth. Some of the things that come out of the mouths of some youger people makes me cringe.

today "Frannie" used all of these words in 1 small letter to the editor

impetuous

She is probably calling all of her great grandchildren to show them what a "facetious" article she wrote.
On a side note, some old lady held up the Post Office line FOREVER because she put the wrong
ing zip code on her letter and the Post Office lady had to keep telling her it was wrong, then they finally looked it up in one of those huge books and it then took forever+ for the lady to write it down properly..... I will be old some day, but hopefully I will have enough common sense to not turn everything into a problem.
