This is the way the world works...everybody has an opinion. I on the other hand from above have a bunch of Sony stuff and I like all of it. No failures other than the battery backup in a VCR.

The Wega TV is great. I have a 36" with the PIP and IR headphones. This has saved several arguments at my house!

The cool part is you can listen to the phones while watching the small pic. I have played GT2 while my wife watched a chic flick. It would appear your physical presence is all that is necessary, not your mind

I did have to curb the profanity when I hit a wall while leading the race on the last turn on Laguna Seca though

Personally, I like the Sony stuff. Almost half my equipment is Sony and I haven't had any trouble with it including a TV that's been moved (geographically) at least 7 or 8 times.

I agree with the extended warranty comment - it typically has the highest profit margin for the retailer and has commonly been found to be the worst value for consumers. Not to say that nobody here has ever gotten their money's worth for one, but it's usually not the case.

Why don't you get a PS2? They're in stock now, and besides GT3 is coming out soon.

I have had good luck with Toshiba. Have a eight year old 27" Panasonic Superflat that still looks awesome.

I have a 36" JVC in the bedroom that I am happy with as well.
