Beware When Buying Camera Stuff Online...
Thanks for the link... very interesting. I know a few people that have almost done business with some of these NYC / NJ "stores".
http://www.resellerratings.com/ is a pretty good site to see how other's fared at some of these places.

When I talked to the people at the stores, I was asked if I wanted the grey market product, because I could get it at a much lower cost. I refused and they said that it was fine. Everything came with the camera that was supposed to. All the literature, the US warranty cards, etc. It was just like I bought it in the store down the street only at 2/3rds of the cost. One of the cameras that I bought ended up not working (it ate batteries...literally you put it in and it was dead) took it to a local shop, they sent it to the manufacturer and I got a new camera back, cost me all of $20.00, not bad to replace a $600.00 body. I got it from ABE's of Maine or Marine Park, don't remember which.

I purchased a Plasma from plasmakings for a great price and had no problems. I don't give a shit what the storefront looks like, I am buying online...
I bought a digital camcorder from mpsuperstore.com for my brother-in-law. He wanted to save the 8.25% NY sales tax. I ordered it online. A few days later I received an email to call them. I called them to confirm the order and they proceeded to try and sell me a bunch of add-on stuff, extra batteries, extended warranties, etc. I said, "no" to the sales pitch. I received the camcorder in a few days. As far as I know the camcorder worked fine and it came with all the accessories. Don't know if the product is grey or whatever. I am not trying to vouch for these guys or anything just relating a experience. In fact, I am not sure I would ever use these types of stores for myself.
