There seems no end to the lively S2000 debate that continues at the Boxster Board:

The Boxster folks are simply unable to accept the fact that there may be another automobile out there that could possibly compare or surpass any Porsche in performance/value for $20-$50K less. That's right, according to Autoweek, some Boxster owners paid as much as $81K for an S; talk about your options list.

I don't think many realize that if it wasn't for the S2000, there never would have been a Boxter S!

Um, if you look at the thread it's mostly two guys going back and forth. I wouldn't call that the Porsche guys unable to let go. I'd call that one or two stubborn mules. I think you all need to let it go. I mean, now we have two threads that have been started to discuss one thread on another board. Which board is really sad in all this?

Ah, it kinda funny that this little car has threatened their throne. Panic has set-in in the Boxster camp boys!

The Boxster is undoubtedly a wonderful car but I'd expect alot more performance from an automobile that costs $45K-$60K. Read Road and Track, the 3400 Boxster Ruf. That's what I'd expect this auto to do stock. But they had to modify it to 310BHP to get it to run and $69K -$75K later. All in an effort to out perform their eastern brothers! Amazing!!
