I have a feeling this is one of those transactions we are all going to look back on and have a laugh.

dp - send those wheels to me and I'll check out their fitment and give a verdict.

just got back from SESM...that was fun!

Knowing that he's dealt with many other members on here without a prob. is good to know. Our deal went nice and fast too...until I came to the mounting part.

at the SESM, one of the members had the gt1s and i discovered that his wheels were 5x100 too!!! and that's what tirerack had sent him! He hasn't had any trouble with them and he actually loves them

I feel like I've been fooled on the following info:
lug pattern
width/offset

I called few local tire shops and they all said the same thing: "don't put 5x100 wheels on a 5.114 car even if it fits."

I'll say this again, but if i knew that these 5x100 were squeezd on to the car with an offset of 35...I would not even have PM'd him about this.

I dunno how to load pics from my phone on here and i already explained about my digicam. I'll find a way to post some pics to clear things up.

I can't even imagine that being the case though.???
Funny thing with these wheels ( I also own a set) both 5 x 100 and 5 x 114 are cast into the wheel. And there are two weights also stamped into the wheels because depending on which pattern the wheel is drilled for, the weight each wheel can safely carry is changed.

how does that address the stud legnth issues? You said the stock studs wouldn't make it even through the wheel holes.....how do you get around that?

something seems wrong about that 5*100 vs 5*114.3 thing too..... don't see how a 5*100 would ever work unless the wheels are stamped wrong.

I'm going to say it again BOTH 5 x 100 and 5 x 114 are cast into these wheels. But obviously will only fit one or the other.

Don't make me go out to my garage with my camera.

I'm still confused. 100 and 114.3 are different numbers (well duh). They represnt the spacing of the holes. Unless the holes are elongated, or there are two sets of five holes I don't see how one wheel can fit two different PCDs.

I LIED. 5 x 114 is not cast into my rims but the associated load weight is.

Additionally 5 x 100 is cast into the rims and the associated load weight is too.

Pics are huge so I will only post links.

Regardless, these wheels fit my S2000 someone elses S2000 before mine. IF you only go by what is cast into the wheel (mine anyway) then yes, maybe that can be decieving.

ONLY way around it is to get extended lugs or extend studs.
