I would think it would have alot to do with when that person went blind. If blind from birth there would be no reference point for images, but someone that went blind at 30 shouldn't have any problems. It's like the age old question of when a deaf man farts in the forest, does it make a sound?

People that are born blind or people that become blind? I'm assuming you mean people that are born blind... I think, that they dream, but their preception of dreams are different. Like, when we dream, its fragments of things we have seen, heard, or relate to. But since a blind person has never had some type of point of reference, what they'd call a "dream" may be only feeling and sound? You know, have you ever had that dream where you feel like you're falling and all of a sudden you wake up?

That said, can you imagine trying to explain to someone who has been blind forever, what sight is? It would be so difficult to teach someone (especially a kid), about how we can "see" things that are miles away, and can tell exactly where the things are. Jeez, being blind all your life and hearing that would make you think you were living among superheros.

we know what things would look like, but for a blind person I think they would dream in what they create as their world.

like previous posters said, it depends on when the person became blind because you need to "learn to see". let's say you are attached with some other organ that you have never used then you would need to learn to use it, train your brain to control it and adjust your whole body system to integrate this new organ.

oh, on the fart topic. technically the fart exists and it may not be heard BUT, since it's moving air particles to create noise the deaf person could at least "feel" the fart if he were close enough.
