Cant get a job.
Ask for an informational interview at a company you're interested in working for. This is not a job interview, but rather just a session where you can ask questions and get information about working in the field and about that specific company. If they ARE hiring, you may be a candidate, or if something pops up in the near future, I bet they will remember you. Of course, this sort of thing won't work if you're looking for a job at the mall, gas station, fast food etc, but instead an actual career or trade.

You'll be getting more return calls with some more education under your belt.To the original poster, think about getting further education rather than looking for a quick buck now.

my advice: go to college. that degree will give you power of choice... to not work some deadend job. some but FEW people manage without one. i never learned shit in school but my education section on my resume opened alot of doors for me. i work for toyota...and i don't sell cars if that's what you're thinking. the choice is simple.
Until you find something full time or permanent, fill out forms at the temporary services. They seem to always have something. You get a rep for being dependable and hard working, you get more and more calls form the temp service. And eventually someone may hire you as a temp, but decide you're worth hiring on full time.
Otherwise go to school. Academic college isn't for everyone, but there are all kinds of certification programs, tech schools, and junior colleges.
