I think this is more of a profound statement about society in general. A struggling actor wouldn't do that crap. He'd be happy to have a job. Bale feels entitled because he feels he's one of the elite. That's when people cross the line with me. He thinks he's better than the rest of those people. Welcome to the problem with the 537 permanent politcal elite. They don't have to live by the same rules as the rest of us schlubs.

Cool

is it him thinking he's better than the rest of us or him now knowing the difference between a professional doing a job and an amateur and reacting to incompetence? Is it him being over-bearing or him finally having had enough of wasting his energy and his expertise at the fault of others?

He is professional enough to show up on time, know his lines, be ready to go , be in character and deliver when the director says action, he should have the right to expect that same level of commitment from those there to serve their various supporting roles, correct?

On set, time is money and lots of it...his 3-4 minutes of tantrum saved money, IMHO. it got everybody on that set "on-task" and goal oriented for the rest of that shoot, I'd bet money on it. If not for Bale's clout, then for damn sure the director's when he found out about it...

make no mistake, several people flipped their lid after Bale did over the situation, I assure you on that. It was assholes and elbows for the rest of that shoot.

10 seconds of frustration maybe i could see your side. 4 minutes is a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.

It's one thing to call someone on ****ing up, it's another to do what he did. I've personally had to spend 12 hours plus redoing tournament prep because someone who worked below me ****ed up. 150 player tournament that took me three days to get all set, GONE. Don't think I didn't call the guy on it and had him redo as much as possible, but be serious for a second, doing what he is going WAY over the line. If you wanna fire someone, fire them, don't just stand, scream and berate them.

Someone said they heard the guy he was yelling at was reviled, Bale even says at one point he's a nice guy, but that doesn't cut it...I don't think when you're throwing a temper tantrum at someone's actions you are going to take the time to call someone a nice guy if everyone hates that person...

Bale, You're a dipshit actor. Get over yourself.

Just like I won't ever see another Tom Cruise movie, i'll now never see another Chrisitian Bale movie. When is our society going to stop worshiping these dipshits?
Let me know when you wash and wax your car so I can go and **** it up after you spend 6 hours doing it.

I would be pissed too if some dumbass repeatedly **** shit up.

I agree.

All you defenders of Bale seem to forget his Mother and sister had to drop the charges against him shortly after "The Dark Knight." You have to be a F'ing degenerate for two family members to go to the cops. ESPECIALLY YOUR MOTHER. Sheesh.

i don't know:

-what the real story was with his family issues
-how many times the dude f'ed up at the set previous to this
-how much money the scene was worth
-how much time bale had spent getting prepared for it

since i don't know any of those things, i'll say he had a bad day and should have been a little more mature but i'm certainly not going to stop seeing his movies or something. he's just human.

i think the funny side or the entertaining side of it was that Bale sounds like a complete soft ass/ dousche bag whilst he was trying to sound bad ass

I honestly do not understand how anyone can see it any differently than this.
Do some of you really elevate celebrity to such status you find this acceptable?

Primo I just don't get you at all. Regardless of how much 'work' acting is Bale showed the least professionalism.
