Default Class Action against AOL?

Is anyone here involved in a suit against AOL? Would you like to be?

I've had it with their fraudlent business practices!

Here's the short version of what happened to me:
Used AOL for about 2yrs, canceled to get DSL through a local co. Canceled again a few months later after still getting charged and kept the confirmation number. They continued to charge me, started a fraud investigation with my credit card co. Confirmed the cancellation # with AOL. Continued to be billed, CC co. removed a couple of charges, but AOL owes me over $100. AOL sent me to collection for $23.90! I've contacted one local TV station, but want to go national or international. (Yes I can document this.)

Does anyone here have connections to a major news oganization?

Next on my list is the Federal Trade Comission. AO(steal your fvcking money)L recently settled with them. Any other ideas how I can show these MFer's, the average person doesn't have to take their shit?

AOL has screwed my parents before. Like a year ago we saw on the credit card bill that they had been charged for something that we supposedly bought off an AOL offer. It was like 80 bucks or something like that. We had to call the card company to cancel the charges, then AOL wouldn't understand that we didn't purchase anything from them. After a long battle with AOL they finally said ok and admitted their mistake. Then just a couple months ago they did the same stuff, and once again we had to go through the hassle of arguing with them to finally see their mistake.

Their a bunch of crooks, glad we finally got rid of em 3 weeks ago. I'll be sure to tell my parents to look at their bill closely to see any AOL charges.

96lude tell your parents that AOL will try to offer them "6 months free". They should refuse this because at the end of the "free" term AOL will resume billing their credit card. They are sneaky un-ethical bastards. Also tell them to save the name of the person they spoke with, date, time, and the cancellation number. Otherwise they will "lose" this info. It's also a good idea to call the credit card company and tell them the billing has been canceled.

I also had no problems...UNTIL I TRIED TO CANCEL!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up, but I was the one who called and cancelled, so I didn't take any of their BS. They tried to offer me 3 months AOL broadband for free. I told the lady I wasn't interested and she kept insisting I sign up for this (do the service rep people work on commission?) I kept the cancellatation number but didn't get her name. Hopefully they dont charge the card or they'll be getting a not so pleasant call from me.
