sorry guys, i might have made it sound worse than it is. i will always be able to make the payment, i just don't really have much money left after i pay the bank. im never gonna have to go bankrupt or default, i do have options to fall back on, i just choose not to use/burn those bridges unless its absolutely necessary. and if it did come down to the car being repoed, it would dissappear.

Well that's good to hear. After 2 pages of nothing definite, I figured it needed to be out put out there. I hope it works out for you.

Quoted for future fraud case.

Get a 2nd or 3rd job, and pay it off ASAP.

Good luck with that. You're not the first person to have thought about that. You do realize that you will basically not be able to drive that car for quite some time, possibly months? The repo companies will not give up quite that easily, they will keep trying. The moment you let that car out of your sight, they will come and take it. Your credit will be shot, and you will not be able to finance another car. Given your credit score, your carelessness with your financial and your overall attitude, I seriously doubt that you have money saved up to be able to pay cash for anything but a beater.

they made it a pain to pay extra on the principle. if i merely pay more in one month than whats due, they apply it to next month, interest and all.
Is there a prepayment penalty if you pay it off in full? This is effectively what happens if you move the loan.

Good question. Is there a penalty?

In the OP's case, the better question would be...

Whats a penalty?

For sale: 2002 Honda S2000, high miles, not very well taken care of. Price: $24,000, because that's how much I owe on it...

Why don't people just buy stuff anymore? You should have waited until you could afford the car. Loans are good for one thing, a house. I guess that's why the economy crashed.
