Default commitment

need some opinions and advice here. so im in my mid 20s and ive been with this one girl for about 2 years. lately i think ive been noticing myself acting differently towards her...maybe a little more harsh, controlling, etc. in the beginning we started out great and now we tend to just fight a lot. shes still in college and i work full time. i realize a lot of times we dont have a lot in common too, we dont share a lot of major passions we have. so whats this mean? am i getting bored or something? how do some of you stay grounded and loyal? im sure i still love her and all..

if u don't feel it, then it's best for both of you to stop wasting each other's times. it's pretty much your call.

you have to tell us why you treat her harsh and why ur bored. are u interested in other girls?
are u afraid to tell her straight up and lose her? what's the deal here?

as far as i know, whether u let her go or not, she's in college, so she's gonna be curious. she's 20 years old....soooo.... gluck
etiher straight up u make things so she can't live without you (doesn't really work faking it in long term)
or she gonna find missing qualities that she wants and there's a possibility she'll find it in some other guy.

working full-time vs college classes are 2 different worlds.

that borderline period ... when one person is still in college and the other is in the real world... is really, really difficult for a relationship.

I agree, I'm finishing up my last semester of college, working part-time, doing research so there is no way I could date someone who is out of school. Probably because I would be jealous of all of his free time

I can understand that two years is allot to walk away from but if it doesn't feel like your relationship is going to change than its probably best to move on. No need trying to stay together to just make each other unhappy.

Just out of curiosity, were you both in school when you started dating?

Would you stick it in another girl's pooper right now if you had the chance?

Commitment isn't scary when you are emotionally impelled.. it's natural. If you have to force yourself to show loyalty, honesty, etc., then shit ain't gonna work.

old story about commitment:

Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess...
"Will you marry me?"

The Princess said "NO!"

And the Prince lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf and dated women half his age and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up.
