Dubai
I've been to Dubai 3 times. This was back in 1998. I was there conducting business in the Jebel Ali free trade zone. The zone was created many years ago by a group of Arab leaders who realized that oil would depleat in 'x' years. Since then many MNCs trade and do business there tax free. I don't know how it is now but at the time, if you were American, you would need to have someone sponsor you in order for you to visit Dubai. That's correct. The only place I know of from my travels where Americans are literally not permitted entry without someone from Dubai to vouch for you. Once you fly into the Dubai Int'l airport, you're like in a different world. Here in SF you see a mix of Asian and European tourists. In Dubai, I found many Russians, Africans, Middle Easterns, and some Asians! Outside of town 70%, if not more, of the people there are Indian. I was told that the Indians were basically the diligent ones running the economy. Dubai is obviously a desert but you'll be disappointed to learn that you're not going to see camels, plam trees and all the stuff you see in movies. Instead, Dubai is like Las Vegas without the lights and women walking about. The weather there is quite nice. Outside of town there are beautiful buildings, express ways, multi-lane roads and plenty of American cars!!! I've also seen a few exotics etc. The Arabic people I believe are the world's most misunderstood bunch. Here in SF, most of them are rude but why wouldn't you be if you were being treated like a second class citizen. In Dubai, everyone is friendly. I was in this cab and these four Arabic guys in a BENTLEY were waving and then another group in a Mercedes too!
The shocker for me was finding little to no women freely walking the streets. Those that were walking were fully clothed, and accompanied by men. I visited a local mall and found a few more clothed women and they had the most amazing henna artwork to their face and hands. My trip to Dubai was a pleasant one though one of the chamber maids from the hotel took $700 from my cash pouch! That sum was never recovered. Finally if you want to fly, fly with Air Emirates... wooohooo the best service I've ever experienced and the stewardess are like models!!! OMG!!!

You think oil prices are regulated by the Saudis?
I've travled many places in the world also, what does that proove? You can go to the moon and back and that doesnt change your ignorance. How does some one who travels all the time always seem to posting on s2ki.com..... I mean with how many big things you have going on in your life why are you waisting your precious time here?

The British Soccer team actually bought homes in either The Palm Islands or World Islands.
Amazing place that I'm gonna visit again in about 2 months!
