i dont use any boosters at all while lifting or dieting, with the exception of whey protein and some scivation xtend (for recovery). For that extra needed energy, eat some more fruit. not only does it have natural sugar, its loaded with carbs for energy.

i tried no xplode once or twice and nitric oxide supplements are crap. its loaded up with way too much caffeine and you get all jittery after workouts.

Caffiene has been scientifically proven to improve athletic ability. I've read the studies and knew the one of the major researchers that proved this.

That being said, yes it is a diuretic so you must keep hydrated while using it.

Yes high sugar content will give you a quick rush but will burn off quickly.

You'd be better off drinking water or gatorade prior to your workout IMO.

I find those energy shots are great for an easy energy boost during a hard workout. I drink one before running or swimming. Helps me with the cardio, never drank one before lifting though.

So it's ok to drink the sugar free red bulls as long as I drink a bottle of water to offset the caffine?

Everything raj said is true, but caffeine is a diuretic and suppresses creatine, so its net is a negative benefit, but that's just my opinion.

I'd get outta the routine of grabbing a heavily caffeinated product to get a boost...Did NO-Explode for over a year ,body adapted to the caffeine and i had to increase the dose by two times just to get the same effects.

Using a new NO supplement now called "cytonox" which is heavily L-Arginine based which the body has a hard time growing a tolerance for it.

Honestly though I wouldn't use anything but maybe protein until you've been lifting for over a year as the body is really too underdeveloped to see any real gains from the supplement, eat some fruit before a workout or drinking real fruit juice is even better.

Also drink your Protein shake before a work out or wait an hour afterwards,Its only effective to chug a shake right after a work out if your on steroids as your cortisol level is suppressed thus taking full advantage of the shakes usefulness

I wouldn't use an energy drink. If you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle (sounds like you are) energy drinks have no part of it.

I tried drinking a can of Redline before my mile run and I swear my heart rate was @ 250 bpm afterwards. lol. In hindsight, I'm glad I lived and won't ever do it again. I was 18 at the time btw, so yes, I was young and dumb.
