Ask in your regional subforum. Law enforcement agencies and municipal courts aren't all identical across the entire country. The court can tell you exactly what the fine is if it's not indicated on the ticket.

Why is the cop an "asshole" if you didn't signal?

Consider that before you decide that traffic regulations don't apply to you next time.

Don't understand why it seems to be so difficult to move one's fingers a few inches...

 

This...and their should be a law against parking your ass in the left hand lane and failing to merge the f&%k over.

 

here in Central PA you can either fight it for an additional $5.00 and hope that the cop doesn' show... (then it gets dismissed)... or if the cop shows, hope that they will work with you on it... maybe make it a no points ticket so it doesn't affect your insurance, etc...

or... go directly to the District Justice and talk to him/her about it... sometimes they are open for a quick discussion and will reduce it to some degree..

Were you driving like an asshole and you are lucky this is all you got out of it? I had gotten one for not signaling but it was more of just any reason to pull me over because i was driving too fast in traffic but the cop had no way to know how fast i was going... i deserved it in the end due to me driving like a jerk.

 

I lay on my horn when people don't signal. Such an easy way to communicate with other drivers. It really does matter.

 

Drivers that don't use their turn signals are ignorant and inconsiderate. They should issue more tickets for this sort of offense - cosign

 

Go to court, plead no contest, ask for a fine reduction and traffic school (you have to ask, for both, at least in CA). It's not a common ticket per se, but it's a well deserved ticket. You breaking the law doesn't make the cop an asshole for citing it.

Thread uber makes me laugh though: you live at home, somehow managed to get your hands on an ex $35K car, and you have to sell off belongings for a measly no signal ticket? What happens if you have a mechanical failure? Hell, how do you pay for tires or service? Do you pick up cute girls in your fly roadster, then take them to taco bell? But hey, you got a cool car and a nice camera to show it off with on facebook, right?

No offense but you're the asshole for not using your turn signal. How hard is it to move a few fingers less than 6 inches? For your own safety you should be using your turn signal all the time, especially since you drive an S2000. S2000s are small cars - if you don't make it known where you're driving you are likely to get taken out by a semi or big pick up.

To all the previous questions

I payed for the car because i saved up enough money to buy one off a guy on craigslist. Got my 00 for $7,000 dont know why it was that price but it sure as hell got my attention. I got it pre purchase checked and the mechanic said it was all good just needs new brakes. Im fortunate to have a step-dad who has access to tools to maintain it to a certain extent.I currently dont have a job and am trying to find one, which hasnt exactly been going my way lately. Also to the guy who asked if i was driving like an asshole, no I wasn't. I THINK i was the only one on the road and I was only going around 10mph. Well it says 10 on the ticket.

I think that covers it all lol
