I use my signal every time. Why? Because I'm not a facking rude and inconsiderate selfish jackhole. When you're motoring along at speeds that the human body was never intended to travel at (i.e.: anything faster than running speed) it's nice to have some sort of communication system to let those around you know what you intend to do. Those who choose to not do this are selfish and lazy. There is NO OTHER EXPLANATION FOR IT.

Oh, and we get on our "high horses" because most of us can't stand inconsiderate drivers. Being "fortunate" has nothing to do with it.

The whole: "don't comment unless you're perfect" angle of response is so idiotic. Just because someone flames the guy doesn't mean he hasn't done it. Maybe he has, but just had the better sense to not post whining about it on a messageboard like a dumbass.

I can actually say, I used my turn signal for every lane change, crossing over lines, and every turn I have made, since I have started driving at 16. I signal absolutely every time, without fail for 6+ years now. Just sayin

Im not really whining i simply asked a couple questions. Is it a common ticket and what type of fine im looking at? It sucks, I got a ticket but whatever nothing can change that now. I never called the cop an asshole i was wondering if it was an asshole move. I wasnt driving crazy or anything when i got it. I was in a residential area and made a right turn. That being said i kind of got my first answer does anyone know what the second one is??

 

How do you expect anyone of us to know what your fine is? We have NO IDEA where you live-city/county/state.
In the time it took you to start this topic, YOU could have probably read the back of the ticket and it probably listed the fine amount. Failing that, YOU could have probably looked it up online OR simply called the DMV/Clerk of the Courts in your state.
But nope, you expect US to do it for you.
If YOU can't figure this out on your own, I believe you are wasting your money & your time in college. This is something an 8th grader can figure out.

 

It is even more important to motorcycle riders. They do not know who sees them and who does not. If you are driving down the road people coming from the opposite direction who turn left in front of them are the #1 danger. If the dipsh*t turning left at the very least, uses his signal, the motorcycle rider knows ahead of time what the guy is doing and can plan ahead for it.

If people just randomly turn without any warning it becomes an issue.

To the OP, it is hard to see if the cop was just being an a-hole or if it was merited, could be either, but yeah, I would like to see more of these issued as well as red light runners and left lane blockers.

I use my signal and do not own a cellphone. Why? I don't want to be tempted to use it while driving and kill or hurt someone or be so self absorbed I hold up traffic when taking a call. I must be CRAZY!!!!!!!!
