Favorite Brand of IPA?
if you spend money on "good" bottled beer, you really need to put it in a glass. Otherwise it's like eating while plugging your nose - you're missing half of the taste.
That said, I also dislike really bitter beers, and it seems a lot of what gets made as IPA or hefeweizen, or most wheat beers for that matter, are too bitter for my taste. Anyone who prefers Bud/Miller/etc. are going to be really turned off by most wheat beers in a bottle. But give them a nice porter or other dark beer in a glass, and they usually like it as an occasional change from the norm. Like a dessert.

My beer favorites tend towards the hoppy side, so IPAs are right up my alley. I agree that Sierra Nevada is a gold-star brew; the seasonal celebration ale is pretty good too. As far as other pale ales go, Yellowtail from Ballast Point Brewery is awesome.
But for the true IPA, I think Dogfish Head 60 is a damn fine choice. My favorite, though, is Bear Republic Racer 5. it's so well balanced and enjoyable, to my palate. Close contenders for my pint of choice at a pub are Lagunitas IPA and Pure Hoppiness from Alpine Brewing Company. As you can see, my loyalties run to the west coast breweries.
others that I can't really call "honorable mentions" because they are all superb and definitely make the regular rounds on my bar tabs:
Stone IPA
Green Flash IPA
Big Eye IPA (Ballast Point Brewery)
For a real treat, try Pliny the Elder (double IPA), if you can find it, from Russian River Brewing Company. Pliny the Younger is their triple-IPA 11.0% ABV guaranteed-to-knock-you-on-your-ass-no-matter-how-much-you-like-"hoppy beers" beer. Fun to try, once, it is emphatically NOT a session brew and is hard to find, as is.
Happy Hop Adventures!

And Ruination from Stone is outstanding!http://www.stonebrew.com/ruin/
Very highly rated and its not cheap i picked up a 6 pack in New Hampshire this past weekend the cost $14.99 and that's with no tax or deposit. Gotta
NH!Here is the best part I would pay double its that good!
My other choices are Dogfish head IPA's preferably the 120 minute if I can find it.
I am a big fan of Hefeweizens. I like sweet beers like pale ales with lots of hops, or sweet pilsners and hefeweizens.
Still looking for an IPA I've liked though, the ones I've tried are all a bit potent because of that high alcohol content.
