I'm sorry to say ,but I doubt some record producing company is gonna let the american people choose who gets thier recording contract...that'd be suicide if the winning preformer was a total flop in the industry.
American Idol is crap...only good part is when they trash the losers in the beginning of the season.

One white male against three black females (lakisha, jordin, and melinda). It's pretty obvious that the vote was split between the later three and thats why blake is in the top two.
Image is much more important when it comes to female pop singers, hence lakisha and melinda were voted out.
