My Fossil steel dive watch looks better than any Rolex ever has, has a longer warrantee, is more impervious to shock, has a better bracelet, and is at least as water-tight. Not to mention, more accurate. And I actually swim with it Oh, and the ladies love it - the day I bought it, several different women told me my watch was "beautiful." Not "expensive," or "classy," or "wannabe indicator," but "beautiful." Only bad thing is it isn't an auto, but I can deal

'course, Rolex does make good dive watches, but most of the 900,000 watches they mass-produce just like Timex are sold as expensive trinkets, not tools. People who buy Rolex Submariners or Seadwellers on bracelets, and then take them off before showering - or even washing their hands - pretty much define the typical Rolex owner - clueless, but desperate to look "sophisticated." Kinda like buying a minivan - sure, you may be cool, but your choice in vehicles is the same as all the soccer moms and dads, so you are not really much different than them.

A Rolex is not really "braggable," IMHO, unless it is a vintage Air King or Daytona, or you use it to keep from getting the bends.

I have a Diesel, supposedly made by Fossil, has great second hand movement, and is still lookin great! I am very satisfied with the purchase, plus it beats a Romex or a Carlier or whatever... haha...
