I'd like to try that!

But there is no way I'd get that much courage!

Ok, now this is really pacing my mind. How exactly should I tell her? Should I just say, "Hey, can I talk to you for a sec? I really need to tell you something that's been bothering me..." then what? Just break down and say, "I have to tell you flat out... I like you. Alot. I really need to know, do you feel the same way?"

wow.. that statement is a lil harsh.. i wouldnt put her on the spot like that.... i dont think putting a girl on the spot like that when shes not ready for it might yield a problem... i would try to take a more suttle approach at finding out if the feelings mutual.. perhaps just asking her out to watch a movie.. like we all mentioned before... NOT as a girlfriend.. just as a friend... see how she reacts to that... and maybe on the date you can ask her... someway suttle.. instead of making yourself look so desperate to get a positive reponse... crack jokes about it... say things like.. "thanks for coming out with me tonight, ill buy your drink for you since we're boyfriend/girlfriend now... ) you could always play it like a joke

or. easier yet.. maybe you can ask one of her friends to see if she can uncover anything

What statement's a little harsh?

As far as being direct or sort of skirting around the issue...the less clear you make the question the less clear the answer will likely be...

Colin, direct or not, just be yourself. It can be as simple as saying that you just need to tell her something or as complicated as just talking to her and trying somehow to gauge how she might really feel. It's up to you. Don't overanalyze your options...just follow your instincts.
