Maybe that's where they got the money to rebuild the roads in town.

My brother-in-law had the towing consession for that stretch of hwy 17 for years and there were always severe and frequently fatal accidents there. He was based out of Redwood Estates. They are really down on speeders. Sorry.

Maybe there is something I should know about that road.
Was I driving too fast?
I'm sure I wasn't driving any faster. One reason I didn't brake harder when I saw him was all the cars behind me at the same speed.

Mr Pig,
If you were in your Stook, you Looked faster than anyone else.
I lived in San Jose for 27 years and like others have posted, Hwy 17 is a very dangerous road and they really do patrol it heavily. That doesn't stop dot comers who live over at the beach and drive to Silicon Valley in their Ferrari's (and Stooks) from driving 100+ through the twisties in the Santa Cruz mountains. Before the cement barrier running down the middle was installed, there were lots of head-ons, often involving trucks and cars.
They don't need the money. They are trying to slow people down.
Now you know.

Just your unlucky time to get nailed, I guess. Have an extra glss of wine when you get up to Napa. Aren't you touring Northern California, or do I have you confused with someone else on this board?

No MarkS2k, it wasn't you, but glad you had a nice time in our neck of the woods. Someone else posted they were coming out here, maybe Meat, but I thought it was FlyingPig. Where are you Mr. Pig. Must be using his laptop if he's on the road.
You might have seen me or my wife in a silver/red. I just saw a Yellow in town the other day. Anyone here?
