gran turismo 3 a-spec
I've been playing the japanese version on a japanese ps2 for the last 4 or so hours.
The bottom line is, the best driving game ever.
Ferrai f355 on the dreamcast might be alittle more challenging as far as all out race driving. But the tuning, modifing, car selection and graphics of gt3 really are to good.
The rally driving is VASTLY improved over gt2. Which is good because it was horrible in gt2.

While we're on the topic, I think you would all love playing Test Drive Le Mans (for dreamcast).... IMO it's got great graphics, *great* sound, very good car control, challenging, but not like F355 is. F355 can supposedly be treated as a simulator, but without the extended view that you get in the arcade, the dreamcast version is pretty hard to play since you're always going faster than you think you are. It's fun though.
The control between F355 and GT3.
It seem about identical, except the GT3 cars have more grip.
I havent tried the "simulation tires" (I hope i dont have them on my car I cant read the japanese tuning area) in GT3, they may bring it on par with F355.
There is also a few new tracks compared to gt2, route 11, is one of them, and its a tricky one. Nothing but 90 degree+ turns.
