I think that your ex might have been feeling the rejection from you when you began dating someone else. After you "reconciled" those feelings of rejection ventually faded away and things probably went back to the way they were. We really have no control over our relationships or life for that matter. That terrible feeling in your stomach will soon pass and you will be back to normal.

I have anger issues so I was super heated. I did tell him afterward though that I did take it overboard.

Sounds to me like he just wanted to keep his options open. Plenty of guys have at least 5 different girls their flirting/having a semi-relationship with at the same time. I can't just judge this guy, but this sounds like a fair assessment. You should just know that he was probably this way from the start.

 

you're just in the fallout period, just like when you have a terrible hangover and say "I'm never drinking again".

 

Beb, you are only 22, still have a full life ahead of ya, why let a guy ruin it? Take a vacation or something, life is more than having relationship. Live it up a bit!
