Yes, they do touch your eye. They make a corneal flap and move the surface of the cornea out of the way. Then the laser goes to work on the exposed tissue. The doc then puts the cornea back in place and then put a thick drop of something on it. Then the weird part; he used a fine brush, like a tiny paintbrush, to brush the cornea back into place. He did this for a full minute. You can't feel anything 'cause they put numbing drops in your eyes, but watching that damn brush go over your eye so many times is creepy. They let the cornea sit and adhere for about another minute, then just switch to the other eye.

Actually its not for problematic eyes its just a custom version of the lasik procedure vs the regular procedure which takes into account just your rx...

My mother had this done, its the best thing that she has ever done. She can now read with no glasses and see correctly at night. She loves it!

After watching that little video it honestly doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, it still makes me uneasy, but I think it'd be worth it.

A few more years and I'm getting this done!
