In my experience - the job often doesn't matter in terms of satisfaction, it's the people you work with that make or break your enjoyment of it. Spend 8 hours a day doing something with no human contact except for interfacing with shitty management, and you'll hate life. Spend 8 hours a day doing something meaningless, but in the company of fun/interesting people, and I bet you'd look forward to going to work every day.

The economy does make finding a new job very difficult these days though. For each interesting job opening out there, I'm sure there are a lot of applicants. So yeah, for the moment, sticking with your job might be the best thing to do - you could deplete that $75k before finding something new.

I wonder if seasonal jobs might be easier to acquire? Go be a lift operator at a ski resort or something.

A sports car is an excelent stress reliever

I dont want to say anything about your job situation but if at all possible look for a job while you still have one it is soooo much easier to find/get a new job when you already have one. Im not sure why it works that way but it does

Good Luck! I hope you can find happiness

Come to think of it, the best memories I have are when I was poor and single.

if that's what you want, that's easily achievable: get a divorce and donate your money to charity

Just pointing out you can have lots of fun regardless of income - particularly when one's single.

Acutally me too, I had more fun than ever just sleeping on people's couches and living the single but rather poor life..
