Dave, I admire your patience and optimism in your fellow S2k owner, and hope it is justly rewarded by your getting either the headlights or your money back.

I'm a fellow that does not like to burn bridges if I don't have to. My parents taught me maaaaaaaany years ago that often one has reason to travel back over those old routes again, and once a bridge is burnt, it is uncrossable.

Again, I have it in my heart to believe that this fellow is simply young (born 1984) and does not appreciate the true responsibility that folks place on professionally conducted business transactions. I may seem like "a buddy" and that time can pass and he can "get around to it", etc. And if it were not an item that I need for my business, I might be even more inclined to wait him out. But I'm over the whole thing at this point.

However, at this point, I just want my money back. He now knows it; and through some subsequent PMs this afternoon he seems fully prepared to send me a Money Order. Have no fear, however, if he does not come through with moving on this Money Order by tomorrow...that is to say if I do not hear from him by tomorrow morning indicating that he has mailed the money order to me, then I will thrash on two separate FS threads that I am currently aware he has running on our boards. But again, in complete fairness to his youth, his relocating, and basically just giving him a fair shot...I'm holding my lip on his name in hopes that he will do the right thing and reimburse me my money I paid him.

Being that I'm also born in 1984, I'm not impressed with this individual. I've participated in many group buys, private sales, eBay auctions (both as a buyer and a seller) and I pride myself in the fact that I promptly take care of such things.

I hate to say it, but judging by the way this guy types, he doesn't seem to be the smartest guy in the world. That right there would make me uneasy. However, if you look past that it does sound like he would be a trustworthy guy.

I guess I'm just mature for my age (19), or maybe its simply because I'm a business man too, and I understand how important it is to not procrastinate.

I really hope you get your money back, or that he ends up shipping the headlamps to you.

Good luck!

Ok Dave, this has really pissed me off and it is an OPM (Other Peoples Money) situation. Here is my two cents worth to help resolve your problem. First of all, I work for the Postal Service and I can and will contact his local carrier and station manager. I will place a tracer on this mail piece for you. I can find out if a mail piece has been sent, the date it was sent, look in our database, find that item and track it down, IF IT EXIST. To further add possible injury to this young man, I am and will report this situation to the Local Postal Inspector in your area. I just need his name and complete mailing address. If he is running a scam and using the Postal Service for his medium, that carries a very heavy jail time and huge fine. Want to find out how much time and dollars???? I would advise, DON'T TRY TO SCREW ANOTHER MEMBER...... I will be more than happy to assist you Dave on this matter. Just PM me or call me with his information.

Great offer from Rodney, man, I hope he can help me out when I'm in a similar situation.

Dave, I don't see any humor in your story, rather just ANGER (glad we think differently) and hope this works out and fast.
