I'd buy one. God! The joy of not having to carry CD's around AND using the 10 yr-old portable CD player.

with that kind of storage space, there is no reason to encode at 128kbps. What other kinds of audio files can it play? Does it play video files and display pictures?

There are already a number of "iPod killers" on the market, from iRiver, Creative Labs, Diamond/Rio, etc. Toshiba is just the latest member of the party. I'm not entirely sure why someone would buy an iPod at this point, since there are many other options that actually do a better job in some ways (cool as an iPod is).

PSP is the ipod eater. I think anything larger than 5gb is overkill cause you end up draggin in whole albums, when there were only 2/16 songs that were good. I end up skipping most of the times on my 20gb.

However the Sony PSP is meant for a entirely different market of users. Don't get me wrong the PSP is cool and I would love to have one, but its mainly a gaming device not a MP3 player.

You get the 60gig, and use it as a Mp3 player as well as a portable hard drive. Other wise there is no use. Think of it as a 60 gig thumb drive.
