Now that I have driven my type R around for a few days... IS THERE ANY CAR THAT IS EVEN CLOSE TO AS GOOD THE S2000 THAT HAULS KIDS???

just like someone else posted "how can you stand driving anything else"?? I thought the 'R' would be pretty close..... Not in my opinion though! Body roll, tires spin if you floor it in first (even when already rolling), long shift, etc.....

I guess the only good kid hauler will be an Evolution!

Hi Scot,

Kid hauler includes safety as part of the equation.

My Volvo 850R wagon goes plenty fast and does all the real work (Home Depot, etc).

No, it is not as much fun (as an S2000) but it will take the whole family skiing or to the beach.

How about an Acura TL Type S? It's certainly no S2000, but it is an excellent safe car with passenger carrying ability and a powerful engine.

That's what I got the TL Type S for.
Did you read about the new Infiniti I35?
If that thing stays under 30k, it would take over the title in "value" catagory.

I drove a few cars, but I guess I am sooooo used to the tiny shift, and extremely stiff springs of the S2000, that even the M3 (in my brief test drive) seemed kind of crappy. (i would have to put the S4 into the long throw, not nearly as stiff suspension class)

If they would just make a s2000 sedan with all the same stuff, but make it a 4 seater....

Maybe the ugly RX8 would be good.?
